During the Off Festival Rencontres d'Arles 2016, Circa Gallery invites Mireille Loup to exhibit a set of several new photographic series in Arles, including Beneath / Beyond (2016) and Prophecies (2014). We have seen the 3D anaglyph work of Mireille Loup at the Festival In of the Rencontres d'Arles in 2012, at Grande Halle of the Parc des Ateliers, or at Montmajour Abbey during the Rencontres d'Arles in 2005.
Photographer, filmmaker and writer, her work has been presented in galleries in France and abroad since 1991, and her books started being published in 1999. Visual and sound system installations, Internet fictions, iPad applications, Mireille Loup’s art deals with discursive and aesthetic forms that establish cross-disciplinary communication. Her works are exhibited in art centers, museums and festivals such as Les Rencontres d'Arles 2005 and 2012, the Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil), Musée Malraux (France), Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain de la Ville de Liège (Belgium), the Centre National des Arts du Canada in Ottawa etc. She is present in many public and private collections, including the Fond National d’Art Contemporain in France (FNAC) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. She is represented in Moscow by Pobeda Galley and in Porto by Dear Sir Agency.
